Ambulatory Care
The Ambulatory Care Center provides pre-surgical testing and education; injections, such as antibiotics; IV therapy; hydration therapy; transfusions of blood and blood products; laboratory tests; minor surgery; patient preparation and follow-up for myelograms, CT scans, guided biopsies and other invasive and non-invasive tests; pain blocks; lumbar punctures; PICC lines; and teaching for self-catheterization, diabetes and other health conditions. The department also provides pre- and post-operative care for outpatient surgeries. The staff consists of registered nurses and LPNs.
