Clinical & non-nursing

Cardiac Rehabilitation provides Phase II and Phase III cardiac rehabilitation for patients who have experienced a heart attack or coronary artery bypass grafting, or who suffer from angina. The staff consists of registered nurses.

Cardiology performs EEG, EKG, EMG and stress tests, holter monitor application, removal and scanning, and rhythm strips. The department consists of cardiovascular technicians.

Cardiopulmonary Services is responsible for various aspects of patient respiratory care, non-invasive cardiology procedures, EEG testing and pulmonary function testing. The staff consists of RRTs, CRRTs and RCPs.

Central Supply is responsible for decontamination and sterilization of instruments for Surgery and other departments.

Diagnostic Imaging is a multi-service imaging department serving inpatients, outpatients and Emergency Department and Surgical Services needs. The department is also a clinical site for radiology students. The staff consists of registered radiology, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, CT, mammography and MRI technicians, as well as clerical and radiology assistants. Advanced technology in use includes high-field MRI, multi-slice CT and Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS).

The Laboratory clinical laboratory services 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Services available include: chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, blood bank, microbiology, immunology/serology and special chemistry. Baptist Health La Grange's laboratory is fully accredited and certified by the College of American Pathologists.

Rehabilitation Services & Sports Medicine provides physical and occupational therapy and speech pathology services to people of all ages. Athletic trainers are also provided to local high school varsity sports teams. The department consists of physical therapists, physical therapy assistants, occupational therapists, a speech therapist, therapy aides, a secretary and athletic trainers. The department also serves as a clinical site for students.
