Medical professionals

The Pharmacy department reviews and screens patients' medication regimens for appropriate medication therapy; maintains medication profiles of patients; acquires, stores and distributes medications and sterile intravenous solutions; provides medication information to physicians, other healthcare professionals and patients; prepares and prints medication administration records, among other duties. The staff consists of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. The department uses Horizon Meds Manager, Horizon AdminRx bedside barcoding and charting, and a unit dose medication distribution system.
