Three Baptist Health hospitals make the Best Places to Work in Kentucky list

Best Places to Work in Kentucky 2013

A trio of Baptist Health hospitals has been named to the Best Places to Work in Kentucky list for 2013 in the large employer category.

Two of those hospitals -- Baptist Health Louisville (formerly known as Baptist Hospital East) and Baptist Health Lexington (formerly Central Baptist Hospital) have been named for the ninth time, making the list every year since the program was created. Only five companies have made the list every year.

In its second year on the Best Places to Work list is Baptist Health La Grange (formerly Baptist Hospital Northeast).

This statewide survey and awards program is designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Kentucky, benefiting the state's economy, its workforce and businesses. There were 40 companies chosen in the large employer category (250 or more employees); with 74 companies chosen overall.

Companies from across the state entered the two-part process to determine the Best Places to Work in Kentucky. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25 percent of the total evaluation.

The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was worth approximately 75 percent of the total evaluation.
