Volunteer spurs Foundation donation for expanded TV offerings in patient rooms

Baptist Health La Grange Volunteer Mary Kassenbrock of Goshen loves sports. She made itVolunteer Mary Kassenbrock and Baptist Hospital Foundation Executive Director and Chief Development Officer Scott Childers known to President Chris Roty soon after he came to Baptist Health La Grange that the hospital’s television system was sorely lacking in sports channels. The fact had also come up many times on patient satisfaction surveys. Kassenbrock’s advocacy on the topic eventually led to a nearly $9,000 donation from the Baptist Hospital Foundation allowing several sports channels to be added on the inpatient TVs. Foundation Executive Director and Chief Development Officer Scott Childers presented Kassenbrock with a poinsettia at the Volunteer Association Christmas luncheon Dec. 8 at Claudia Sanders Dinner House in Shelbyville to thank her for her efforts.
