Baptist Health La Grange's Rehabilitation Services & Sports Medicine department has highly trained physical therapists to help high school and college athletes and the weekend warrior recover from sports injuries, and to reach peak performance levels. Baptist Health La Grange is the proud sports medicine provider for all Oldham County High Schools, as well as Henry and Trimble county high schools.
Baptist Northeast Orthopedics' surgeons -- Eugene Jacob, MD, Nicholas Kenney, MD, and Jeremy Statton, MD -- are part of Baptist Surgical Associates and are on the medical staff at Baptist Health La Grange, Dr. Kenney and Dr. Statton serve as team physicians for Oldham County and North Oldham high schools and are fellowship-trained in sports medicine.
Orthopedic procedures offered at Baptist Health La Grange include custom fit knee replacement, reverse total shoulder replacement, anterior approach to hip replacement, hip replacement, fracture care, arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgery.

Total joint camp. Patients scheduled for total hip or total knee replacement surgery at Baptist Health La Grange can attend a total joint camp. The camp is held each Monday for approximately three hours. Have your pre-admission testing, visit areas of the hospital where you might be during your stay and see a presentation to help prepare you for surgery and recovery. Your orthopedic surgeon can schedule you for the total joint camp.
Short-term rehab. After total joint replacement or other orthopedic surgery, you may need short-term rehab to help you learn how to perform your daily activities before returning home. You may choose to stay on the Rehab & Skilled Care Unit at Baptist Health La Grange for your short-term rehab. You will receive individualized care from our friendly staff.
Registered nurses are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Full-time physical and occupational therapists help with optimal recovery in our gym, fully-equipped kitchen and your private bathroom with adaptive equipment so that you can practice the skills you need in daily life.
Individualized treatment plans are created with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, you and your family.
Outpatient physical therapy. Once you return home after orthopedic surgery, you may need outpatient physical therapy. You may choose to have your therapy at Baptist Health La Grange or at Baptist Health Crestwood for your convenience.
