Pediatric Rehabilitation Services

The Baptist East Home Health Agency offers in-home rehabilitation to young children in Oldham, Henry and Trimble counties with motor, cognitive, speech and language delays caused by cerebral palsy, Down's syndrome, brain injury, hearing impairment, genetic disorders and other conditions.

Pediatric RehabilitationWhen a child is referred to the program, a therapist visits the child and his family in the family home within 72 hours of receiving the referral. Then the agency's pediatric rehabilitation team works with the child's parents and physician to develop a treatment plan. Services provided include:
  • Physical, speech and occupational therapies;
  • Nursing; and
  • Social services, depending on the child's special needs.
The program accepts referrals from parents, hospitals, pediatricians, family practitioners, neonatologists, First Steps, the Kentucky Early Intervention program and other community agencies. Therapy services can be provided in the child's home or day care center.
