A Safe Sitter course is from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. in the Conference Center. The deadline for paid registration is Friday, July 18. Safe Sitter is a medically accurate program that teaches boys and girls ages 11 to 13 how to handle emergencies when caring for young children. The fee for the class is $45, which includes a messenger bag, manual and other useful items, as well as breakfast, lunch, snack and refreshments for the graduation ceremony. Baptist Hospital Northeast's team for the StepOut Walk to Fight Diabetes will sponsor a yard sale from 8 a.m.-noon both days in the hospital's second-floor Conference Center. The public is invited.
